Recently saw a post talking about some players' behaviors. Looks like people who don't know about railways can easily destroy even the simplest post. Therefore, this new revision of the manual re-arranged the order and added some "introduction" chapters for those who are not familiar with railway operations. The general content is not changed, and somehow people can use useful links to check those contents. Dispatch book (English).pdf

[CN/EN/CZ/DE] SimRail Log System - Train Data Recording System
CN-BX-3N replied to 信越重工's topic in WWW Applications
As you said, freedom ends when you invade other's freedom. So, that is why we use this to make sure we don't need to always endure foreigners to destroy our equal rights on CN1. Not kidding, not including PL servers is basically our respect because we know you guys would think "yeah, PRC surveillance camera was on", or "communism idiots doing it again". (I'm not Taiwanese, I'm from the Mainland, just use a VPN so it showed like this) We built this because some people, especially some Polish (I don't like to call their names, but what I quoted is just what they said) trollers doing their stupid tests on CN1. We are not a big community, and a 7-hour or 6-hour time gap already made it very hard to ask for help. You have the freedom to accuse us, and we have the rights and freedom to protect our game experience. This had already been on for like half a year, everything was pretty nice. We already find out 5 trollers and find out the reason why AI acts dumb. And we promise to shut it down, as long as there are at least some admins who can be online when most people in UTC+8 to UTC+12 are online, or some admins from these areas are hired, so that we don't need to try to wake admins up when it's 3am or 4am or 2am in Europe. -
[CN/EN/CZ/DE] SimRail Log System - Train Data Recording System
CN-BX-3N replied to 信越重工's topic in WWW Applications
All data would be deleted after the train got respawned again, which is 24 hours. Besides, you are free to check them all the time, APIs are there. If you don't like it, then you should also call all map developers to delete their products, and another dispatch logger to immediately shut down, as they keep much longer records than us. You are not from a community that is very hard to communicate with developers, and always experiencing practitioners doing their tests and destroying the server, making us at least 2 or 3 days without a place to communicate in Chinese. We did this because there were 7 times foreigners came to test and practice, and when we went online, there were always traffic jams that had happened 2 hours ago or the whole server got 100+ trains and became completely destroyed. This was on very long ago, and it's our kind of "the worst solution". By the way, I'm not from Taiwan, this is my VPN, I'm from the Mainland. -

Well, you didn't get the idea. It definitely does not violate GDPR, just we already get tired of quarreling with some Polish players. Other players think it's good, so why waste time with those "I can feel free to troll as long as there are no people around at the moment" guys? -

well, some Polish players accuse this is illegal, because it records their Steam ID, and they consider Steam ID their personal information. There are at least several arguments on Discord, with somebody at first shouting "I'll sue this because I think you violate our privacy", and as they think it's fun and acceptable to mess around on PL2, we respect their opinions and would never include PL servers for we don't have time always arguing with these fun-seekers thinking "this is just a game, don't take it seriously". -
Generally, this is the English translation of the Chinese manual I posted. It deleted some photos and explanation images for major stations, as I believe if I put these things on the manual, someone may try to rush to the major stations causing problems. Also, since some situations are not easy to copy, it may take much more time than expected to wait for the same situation to happen. Therefore, there is some Chinese text left on the images. And since I use some images from PKP PLK documents, and some domino panel descriptions use ISDR (a Polish software simulating dispatching on domino panels) user manual, this book cannot be used for commercial use. But you are still feel free to translate it into other languages. If you have any problems using it, or think some descriptions are ambiguous or not so exact, please just reply to this post. I will often check this post and revise it. This will always update with the original Chinese version guidebook. SimRail Dispatcher's Manual.pdf

[EN] SimRail Dispatch Tutorial Simplified
CN-BX-3N replied to CN-BX-3N's topic in Tutorials / Manuals
You can, this is CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 work. So feel free to translate it into any language, change some contents for localization, or change the outfit of it if you like, as long as you figure out the original work is written by me. -
People always argue about the problem they had in dispatch. Some newcomers are not railfans, therefore, it's hard for them to understand the tutorial that is already written in the game. And some people really don't know what to do when faced with computers and panels. A long argument on this has been mentioned on the official discord. Currently, we have three opinions: 1. a local server for dispatch 2. a single-player dispatch mode 3. an independent tutorial to read before you enter the signal box So, I choose the last one. I revise the tutorial and made it a guidebook that focuses on only operation, without talking too much about the details, things, and signs. I'm majoring in English and preparing for linguistics study. We learn languages through hearing, repeating, and saying. I think the same might be true for games, when you repeat an operation many times, you can build some instinct to do that on your own. I advise you to download the PDF version and open it with your Kindle, pad, or cell phone. Enter a signal box, and check one step, do one step. Repeat it all the time. Eventually, you will learn how to dispatch. And thanks @giBBer8 and @Gazz292 for inspiring me to write this guidebook. Also thanks for the tutorial written by devs. ~Some corrections here~ Correct PZK explanation about the left-track operation: "Ideally, you'd direct the slower train onto the left track and let the faster train overtake on the right track. This way, the fast train doesn't need to slow down to 100 or 60 km/h for turnouts." from @Schinken235 SimRail Dispatch Tutorial Simplified.pdf

link:专题:从零开始理解SimRail - SimRail_Wiki attached a directly printed version of the web page. This is a whole long page written by @KagurazakaYukari and me. Currently, we're working on an English version of that, I'll show you the preface of the work: Since this book is for people who know nothing about railways, this book only talks about some general concepts and definitions. And it assumes all readers never take a train or go on a journey by train. Therefore, you may find some unprofessional descriptions of certain ideas or terms. I don’t like to throw out all terms you will use at first. So, I’ll try to use some personal views and explanations to help you understand these words better. This book has seven parts: The first part is the basic concept you should know, like signals, interlock, turnout, etc. The second part is the terms used in driving, for example, you will learn about locomotives, EMU/DMU, and batteries. The third part is for dispatchers. We’ll talk about what to say, timetables, priorities, left-track operations, and related things. The fourth part is some terms for operation, like delay and early, and all kinds of failures. The fifth part is a basic introduction to Polish Railways, like the meaning of train numbers, train codes, and the current situation. The last two parts will contain a very detailed tutorial on driving and dispatching. Also, there is a simple page for you to learn how to pronounce the Polish alphabet. And here are the contents: Chapter 1: Some Basic Concepts 1.1 Signals 1.2 Blockages 1.3 Turnouts 1.4 Routes & Tracks 1.5 Stations & Platforms 1.5.1 Categories of Stations 1.5.2 Categories of Platforms 1.6 Catenary & Voltage Modes Chapter 2: Terms for Trains 2.1 Locomotives and its Categories 2.2 EMUs & DMUs 2.3 Batteries: Why is it there? 2.4 Activate Cabins: What to Boot Up? 2.5 Main Circuit Breaker 2.6 Pantographs 2.7 Converter 2.8 Compressor 2.9 Brakes 2.9.1 Air Brake 2.9.2 Electro Brake 2.9.3 Locomotive Break (Local Break) 2.10 Handles 2.10.1 Decrease→Maintain←Increase: What is this? 2.10.2 Other Kinds of Handles 2.11 Safety System 2.11.1 Why they are there? 2.11.2 SHP & CA 2.12 ETCS: A Brief Introduction 2.12.1 Panel 2.12.2 Keyboards and Inputs 2.12.3 Display 2.12.3.1 Mode 2.12.3.2 Special Display 2.12.3.3 Operation & Driving 2.12.3.4 Pantographs 2.12.3.5 Speed 2.12.4 Explanation on Speedometer 2.12.5 Distance Meter 2.13 Computers on Trains (currently only TRAXX) Chapter 3: Terms on Dispatching 3.1 Interlocks 3.2 Computer & Domino Panel 3.3 Train Routings 3.4 Communication 3.4.1 What is it? 3.4.2 What should I say? 3.5 Timetables 3.6 Priorities of Trains 3.7 Left-Track Operation Chapter 4: Terms on Operation 4.1 Startup, Passing, Technical Stop, and Passenger Stop 4.2 Delay & Early 4.3 Failures Chapter 5: Brief Introduction to Polish Railways 5.1 Basic information 5.2 Train Number 5.2.1 Three letters for Categories 5.2.2 Regional Code 5.2.3 Extra Number for Freight Trains 5.3 Locomotive Code 5.3.1 PKP Rules 5.3.1.1 Letters & Meaning 5.3.1.2 Numbers & Meaning (Electric) 5.3.1.3 Suffix for EMUs 5.3.1.4 Numbers & Meaning (Diesel) 5.3.2 Factory Number 5.3.2.1 Two Numbers 5.3.2.2 Alphabet 5.3.3 Examples for Explanation 5.3.4 Factory Number for Diesel Locomotives 5.3.5 Carriages Code Chapter 6: Driving Tutorial 6.1 EU07/EP07/EP08 6.1.1 Explanation on everything 6.1.2 Startup Procedure 6.1.3 Warnings 6.2 ET25 (Dragon 2) 6.2.1 Explanation on everything 6.2.2 Startup Procedure 6.2.3 Warnings 6.3 EN76/EN96 (PESA Elf) 6.3.1 Explanation on everything 6.3.2 Startup Procedure 6.3.3 Warnings 6.4 BR186 (TRAXX F140 MS) 6.4.1 Explanation on everything 6.4.2 Startup Procedure 6.4.3 Warnings 6.5 ED250 (Pendolino) 6.5.1 Explanation on everything 6.5.2 Startup Procedure 6.5.3 Warnings Chapter 7: Dispatching Tutorial 7.1 Telephone Usage 7.2 EDR 7.2.1 How to Fill in the Time 7.2.2 About “Input Time” Box 7.3 Computers 7.3.1 Pilichowice 7.3.1.1 Basic Interface Introduction 7.3.1.2 Set Routes 7.3.1.3 Cancel Routes (Instant Cancel) 7.3.2 Włoszczowa Północ 7.3.2.1 Additional Interface Introduction 7.3.2.2 How to Use Phone for Semi-Auto Interlocks 7.3.3 Sosnowiec Główny 7.3.3.1 Sosnowiec Główny→Sosnowiec Południowy 7.3.3.2 Sosnowiec Południowy→Sosnowiec Główny 7.4 Domino Panels 7.4.1 Introduction on Displays 7.4.2 Introduction on Command Buttons 7.4.3 Będzin 7.4.3.1 Set Routes 7.4.3.2 Substitute Signals 7.4.3.3 Cancel Routes 7.4.4 Łazy ŁC 7.4.4.1 Confirm Arrival 7.4.4.2 Receive Trains from Track 3 7.4.5 Idzikowice 7.4.6 Zawiercie 7.4.6.1 Set Routes 7.4.6.2 Train Route Division 7.5 Special Situation 7.5.1 Reset Axle Counter 7.5.2 Communication at Sosnowiec Główny with Other Players 7.5.3 Cancel Substitute Signals on Computers 7.5.4 Change Interlock Direction Extra: How to Pronounce Polish Alphabet References 从零开始理解SimRail(网页直印版本).pdf

Well, you can check full list at:Ia1s6fu.jpg (2300×3140) (imgur.com), wrote the whole list at the bottom-left. usually passengers>freight trains, if something wrong happen, the maintenance train would have the highest priority. PXE usually needs to give a way to ECE I remember, basically the list in my picture is the priority order

However, from the beginning, we've encountered(in the CN server): Japanese, a dude from Thailand, some guys from your country, and Spain, and Russia... Man, though we have dedicated servers, there are many people who like to rush to other servers... -

Advice collected from Discord already: why so slow {train_number}? {signalbox name}, radio test "Train xxx, entry to track 1 granted" "Train xxx, passthrough by track 1 granted" the list is still going on... -
So, I post my own version. I tried to copy the real one, or maybe if somebody likes to customize their scenarios and make their own timetable, you can use this file to write it. Available for 14XXX, 41XXX, 13XXX, 31XXX now. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1IRwZ7N6Iznk1TdBKFgtpfipflvS73k0q/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=100962806113711676286&rtpof=true&sd=true

This picture just simply tells everything(kind of) on the driver timetable. However, I'm not a Polish, so there may be some mistakes. If you find anything wrong, just reply this post and I'll fix it as soon as I check it. This guide is suitable for: -People who feel confused about the train number system in Poland -Everybody who would like to make their own scenarios, and want to attach a paper-liked timetable in the description -Everyone interested in the train number system in Poland WARNING: DO NOT try to memorize everything, use it as a dictionary. -Version 2.0 Imgur link: yhah31V.jpeg (2300×3140) (imgur.com) Full list for company code: Strony stale WRJ (readgur.com)[PL only] Special thanks to @robert357 for pointing out the mistakes and giving more detailed information.

It seems that the simplified Chinese version are still on the way. After checking so many details, I wrote such a guidebook for Chinese players to learn about the game completely (maybe). So this guidebook contains five parts: the introduction to the Polish railways (train number, type, a list of the Chinese translation of all stations on Line 1 and 4, etc.), signals, light type(Pc1, Tb1, etc.), driving, and dispatching. In order not to get some copyright warnings, I wrote all the book and sources of the pictures at the last page "Reference". For dispatching, the computerized dispatch used Sosnowiec Główny as an example, and Zawiercie for electric-mechanical one. At last, for all Chinese players, good luck! P.S. I can't speak Polish, but I'm learning it. I can only speak Chinese, Japanese and English.
