  1. Great to hear will try it later.
  2. These are mostly ingame but it contains some game settings not ingame, some not shown in game for upcoming features or professional sim features not working in game but I believe all graphics settings can be found in game. I should also mention that I get much worse performance on long ride, yesterday I did Krakow - Warsaw and got real bad lag but not really stutters close to Grodzisk, my mouse starts getting like delayed input but that might be a linux user problem.
  3. Operating System: Kubuntu 25.10 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.17.0 Qt Version: 6.9.2 Kernel Version: 6.17.0-6-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 16 × Intel® Core™ i9-10885H CPU @ 2.40GHz Memory: 64 GiB of RAM (62,5 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: Quadro RTX 5000 with Max-Q Design Manufacturer: Dell Inc. Product Name: Precision 7550 I only stutter when tabbing in / out but that happens for all games. Upscaling might be what is saving me. settings.txt
  4. The snow in simrail is really nice, but it could get some improvements. It seems like the snow just instantly disappears as soon as its above 0 degrees, this is very unrealistic as snow takes time to melt. Same with snow appearing, sometimes you have full snow on the tracks and ballast and none on the side. This might be hard to implement but snow on the rail itself when it is snowing and no train has passed for a while would be nice. I do really love the pantograph sparking on the icy wires but it would be really nice if it gave of much more light. I take sleeper trains above the arctic circle irl and in the dark you can really see the sparks lighting up the snow around the train, it is clear as day out of the windows. I don't think simrail has a sound for the sparking so that would be nice aswell, so you could stand on platforms and hear the sparking from other trains or maybe even from inside the cab if its a large spark.

  5. Km progress saves. I think this is usercase not coded. This is what the steam saves And it saves all stations as just a value meaning that it stores how many you unlocked but the game on a new install does not know which ones and how many hours on each it has. But it still saves dispatch time and driving distance for those achievements as they have all the data they need in the achievement status. For the issue to be fixed I think the developers would have to use steams cloud saving feature to store more detailed data for dispatching time per station.
  6. Hello, I have edited the translations for the ETCS on the github but it was never added to the game, I heard here that simrail uses its own locale system, which I am aware of. The problem is I can't find the ETCS anywhere in the files except for the "compiled" text files which are the ones made from the files I changed on the github. I would like to get some advice on what I have to edit or say or do to get my translations in the game as the current ETCS Swedish translation is awful.
  7. There is an effect for sparking from the pantograph that happens in rainy or snowy weather. I wish this effect was more common and could occur in normal weather. I don't know about poland but where I live its quite common in certain spots but with a much larger arc than what would occur during ice on the wire, often at places where the pantograph needs to jump up to the higher wire, like after a tunnel.

  8. There are alot of manual switches the ones you would be able to change on foot irl, sadly these can only be set by the VD ingame. Making these switches switchable from foot would allow a bunch of shunting mission to be made by players.

  9. 2025-08-01 13-48-26.mp4 As you can see in the start, I select the thing I want to upload but it then goes to the first item in the list when I press workshop, this feels like a bug or a miss but should maybe be a suggestion? I feel like it would make alot more sense if the workshop keeps the selected item selected in the new menu or even that you don't have the sidebar and it just takes whatever you had selected in the first page.

  11. Im making a scenario that requries the player to into a track that has a derailer which ofcourse derails the train. It would be nice if you can trough LUA and ingame menu (like the route menu) be able to toggle the derailers like you can with switches. The current solution is to set a route trough it but for what im making I have to allow the player to pass a signal at danger and that means I can't set the route and therefor not toggle the derailer.

  12. 2025-07-31 23-20-57.mp4 As you can see in the video, I can't set the path (exact same path) cus the VD thinks it is still occupied, in the normal branch it works, its almost like the VD does not clear when something clears the track. I also show that setting and unsetting and setting a signal works since there is no train that has ever occupied that line.
  13. This should maybe be a suggestion? Normal map: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1071796387781562378/1400571032108138536/image.png?ex=688d1eeb&is=688bcd6b&hm=0417a257544594a6709ebf54139423f283987897a11bee5a2c1da387e16d78f2& 80's map: The best solution would be allowing setting routes towards all tracks but im guessing routes are set up manually and it's not possible.
  14. Hello, I have made a website called 2008.name, inspired by 1409.se that shows train data such as delays, track changes ect. A feature that makes this app stand out it the delay reason feature, it's possible to enter reasons for delays created so the driver and future dispatchers that are curious can know what happend. 2025-07-21 11-24-12.mp4 The design on the front page is WIP. The website is also open source and can be found at https://github.com/ShiralynDev/2008 The page itself can be found at https://2008.name/ Hopefully the API will be more easy to use in the future to make it possible for other developers to easily integrate the message system into their own apps.
