E186 brakes were not releasing

Recommended Posts

I was trying to run the E186 but every time I took back over the train the emergency brakes came on and the driver interface was saying something over and over. I made sure the emergency brake buttons were off, I set the brake and combined power handles to the neutral positions, raised the pantograph, closed the braker, checked all the indicators were off on the screen, attempt to release the brakes but it still kept saying the same thing over and over again. How was I supposed to reset this? Also, how long will I be unable to access Steam client?

No, freight out of the yard in the south west corner of the represented area

Have you at some point enabled ETCS in game files? If so, disable it.

No, I can't code so I don't know how to add that in.

Within a few seconds of taking over any train, the Driver alertness system will typically activate (red warning on control panel and in the HUD; top centre). You need to acknowledge it by pressing the space bar, otherwise the Emergency Brake will be applied.

Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know, but your description pointed to that being the issue.

But how do I release the emergency brake? I have done as the procedure in the original post but it would not reset and kept saying the same thing over and over.

Hold the brake lever in the fill/release position and hold the brake release key (default NumDel) till the brake line fills fully

I tried that and it did nothing

This issue is very similar and related to activated ETCS. You didn't really edit the config for ETCS? BecauseĀ once you activate ETCS, you cannot drive with Traxx, because ETCS not working here - emergency brake is applied and cannot be released.

Anyway, if you really didn't change config file, then the best option would be probably to Verify game files in the Steam library -> right click at SimRail -> Settings.

PS: Game settings will be reseted.

I have completely reinstalled but I can't yet get the E186 so I don't know if this works.

I bought the expansion and there is also no way to release the brakes on the ET22, I put the brake in running and push the charge but it only blows to 0.92 then starts dropping again. How am I supposed to operate this?

Did you have reverser in forward?Ā Ā
Ā

Have had airpressure drop when in neutral in the eu07. Could be something similar. Had to put it in forward to be able to increase pressure again.

I have encountered similar problems in E186. But in my case it happens very rarely. Did you have similar symptoms as me - pay attention to the numerical value of the pressure in the main pipe.

PS This repeated voice message says ā€œEmergency brakeā€.
