Satiel
Hi, need some expert on the ED250, on the left screen there's an item (PRAD ZADANY) that translated mean someting like set current and it's set to 1200A. The train can go well above it (1800A) without any visible impact to the functionality of the train, unlike older loco. My question is, is this 1200A a limit? I tried to stick to to it but acceleration to 200kmh takes a lot, which doesn't seem realistic. What do you think about it?
chromatix
I think, though I could be wrong, that this is the permissible current to regenerate into the overhead line when braking. This does differ between countries, even those that nominally use very nearly the same electrification system (eg. Austria vs Germany).
