Howky
Would it be possible to add the possibility to restart one station by the dispatcher ? This is a situation where a dispatcher logs into a station. And the control of the station is upset after the previous dispatcher has not mastered the operation.
Foga
I'm not sure if it's good idea. For example if previous dispatcher set a route for train, and train already coming, and new dispatcher will join and restart all station.
Howky
Not all of them. Just mine. If that's what it takes.
hyzwar
Or pause like functionality like the one planed for train driver role - a temporary AI take back control, which could help with issues or with a lack of knowledge eg. how to recover from an emergency application, etc. Edited December 13, 2022 by hyzwar
Howky
Well, sometimes even AI can't fix the station.
maddog
Today i played as despatcher at Katowice Zawodzie, and i think i messed up by sending a player the wrong line towards Katowice Glowny (AI) which then got them stuck at a Red Light. Ideally there needs to be some sort of recovery from well meaning but, wrong despatchers. I'm not even certain i was wrong in sending them on that line. 🤨 I don't get a negative score if i sent them wrong route, like if i was speeding while driving? SurvivorSean
A similar point system used to be in place for TD3. However what should really happen and in the case of TD3 is a seasoned AI driver should know he is being routed the wrong way based on the signals. If they can't stop the train in time they would need to get the dispatcher to perform a move in the opposite direction and do whatever it takes within the signal box to get them back on the proper track. The only disadvantage of this is that an unexperienced driver may not know he is on the wrong track. One way to overcome this is to alert the player once the next ETA updates when passing the box and that should get their attention.
