The largest problem for me is to know wich train is where. The screen where the track should stand doesn't show a track.

To be noted : some signal boxes, like Katowice Zawodzie on track 2, have manual level crossings.

You have to close them before setting a route click on the level crossing and select ZAMK.
After a few moments, the level crossing becomes grey on the screen and you can set the route.

You have to open them when the train has vacated the level crossing : click on it and select OTW.
It will then become magenta.

You need to have in-game tutorials on release. If players don't know how to operate the trains and dispatcher they will refund the game.

I prefer manuals in .pdf rather than in-game tutorials, you can always check a procedure in a read document and search for something in particular in it. 🙂

I agree, I also like PDF manuals to have open on  my second monitor. But I'm referring to the player  base who just want a simple in-game tutorial. They won't want to have to search for a PDF and search through forums for answers.

It is a part of the line block, which is the interface between two signal boxes. With Po you will tell the technology and the next signal box that there is a train on the section. Task of the neighbouring station is now, once the train has arrived to unlock the line again. But the train has to arrive completely, so that this can happen. But if the neighbouring station is getting clogged up, the train can possibly not arrive.
So there is really nothing you can do about it, except try to offer a train to this line and wait what the response ist.

I think a manual like this for the control panels like the one you can find at Lazy Lc would be appreciated as well. 🙂

Couldn't agree more! Always fun with electro-mechanical controls, but has no clue on what to do 😄

ISDR (https://www.isdr.pl/) is a good way to practice polish electromechanical interlockings, it's a bit more in depth than simrail but most of the necessary knowledge is easily transferable. It's all in polish but with some google lens it's quite manageable once you understand the mechanics (telephone announcements, line block equipment etc.).

A lot of useful info can be found in the manual which thankfully I was able to machine-translate and that I'm now attaching to this post.

Ps: if you want something more challenging, try Liskow https://isdr.pl/index.php/topic,298.0.html?PHPSESSID=1pou2cdqf4r534ngcc8fid4tk5

That is a good one.  The only thing I would add to that is make sure you communicate with neighbours especially if they are not AI.  It's always nice to know what train is coming.

Thanks

So i got a train into an E signal by mistake, and there seems to be no obvious way to override these one way E signals. I tried "init substitute singal" but im not sure how this even works. Would be nice to have a manual on that aswell.
