Zulnex Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 Hello everyone. I was just wondering if red alerter notifications on top of the screen could be manually disabled / hidden in the future? I feel it's quite unrealistic. Paying attention to the gauges and different buttons (the ones that light up yellow or yellow + red depending on the train) is much better in my opinion and more realistic. Thank you. 2
Zulnex Posted March 13, 2023 Author Posted March 13, 2023 F2 does not hide the alerter. It hides the next stop info and the next signal.

I would also like the ability to hide the alerter in the HUD for the exact reason as the OP. I'd like to just use the in cab lamps. The only gotcha with this method is that you'll no longer get the notification if you happen to be in an external view, but you just need to be vigilant when popping out the cab, and there's still the audible warning. 2
Gazz292 Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 you could do what some people did to hide the next signal aspect that shows in the top right corner, place a sticky note / Post-It note on the monitor's bezel so it covers up the part of the screen that you don't want to see the 'cheat info' Would be nice to have an option to set the alerter on the HUD only appear if you are outside the cab (playing about getting screen shots, or using the rear camera to see when the last coach / wagon of your trains gone past the speed limit sign etc) 1
Zulnex Posted March 15, 2023 Author Posted March 15, 2023 Those are some good suggestions above. Thank you.
Skully Posted March 21, 2023 Posted March 21, 2023 We simply need options to hide any HUD element individually. 2 4
