Swäntai Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 I'd really appreciate an additional ingame computer screen added with a overview/route mirror of the route network as well as train position and -delay in minutes, like dispatchers usually have at hand here in germany, which looks like this (Src. DB Netz AG/ DB ProjektBau GmbH) I think that'd be a great way to see what the train is doing that should've been at your station 52 minutes ago without having to check the web map seperately, which in my opinion kind of breaks the immersion and can be janky to scroll trough at times. Hard to imagine PKP signallers wouldn't have anything comparable available to them (especially those in modern signal boxes). 1
SIMRAIL Team GoppelPL Posted March 8, 2023 SIMRAIL Team Posted March 8, 2023 The information you're talking about will come with the new EDR, which should be available in one of the coming patches. You'll have to put the delay (or the time early) manually to the system, and then every dispatcher can see how the train is doing. 5 2

From what I understood (Polish people correct me if I'm wrong), the route in the year recreated does not have a CTC which is what I've asked (but for a map instead of a geographical one) during the Playtests too, but only as a map, with no functions like the ones you've just described.
Deadlost Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 As a interrim solution: Maybe optional tags to the train logo on the map? Direction of travel, train number and last reported status +/- minutes according to timetable`?

Even though I wasn't a dispatcher, I still have access to the read-only version of the dispatcher screens to see anything around my yard when I was a yardmaster. The screens are at the top of this image from my desk. The screens covered generally around 70 miles of territory 3
Swäntai Posted March 10, 2023 Author Posted March 10, 2023 The new EDR Timetable already is a blessing and a great upgrade to the old version but a graphical feedback would be the cherry on the top to be added. Judging by the fact that the game itself already exactly knows where the train is (it already knows what the trains next signal is, hence in which block or track it is) I still have hope that some day we'll get that sort of graphical track mirror. Doesn't have to be extremely precise, just at which block/track the train currently is located on the displayed part route network. Maybe someone who actually works with PKP could tell us a bit more about what the system they're using in real life actually looks like? 🙂 1
klawinsky Posted March 11, 2023 Posted March 11, 2023 In Poland, we have a preview of the situation at other stations only at remote signal boxes which control many stations from one place. For example: LCS Poznań (Local Control Center in Poznań) - stand for dispatcher of station Poznań Wschód. 3 2

Or just the boxes with a local control? I ask this as I think someone told me that's only locally controlled and there is no "general overview of the route".
