Landsnes22
It would be nice to be able to know what's happening at the other side of the station with visual information instead of the screen just showing what area the train is in. 1
Locomotiveman 1994
This is though hoe it works irl. Signallers don't have a visual over the whole station, some don't even have a visual on the stration at all as they're situated hundreds of miles away these days!

That depends on the country, in Spain the dispatcher is located on the same station, just by looking out the window you see what's on the platform, if we're talking about more modern posts or CTC posts... Then yes/perhaps. Edited February 12, 2023 by Kaito Kid
Gazz292
If the real life signal boxes do not have CCTV of stations in them, then they won't be in SimRail, as it's simulating the real life railway.
weezzah
Maybe not exactly CCTV screens, but having more camera options for the dispatchers have been suggested before, and I think dispatchers deserve to have at least the same camera features a driver has. And remember, they're completely optional. If you want to dispatch in first person only then you can. Could use fixed camera views like we have in the wagons at the moment with the 4 and 5 keys. Maybe add a filter to emulate a TV screen, black and white, static noise, lower res, things like that. There are cameras on many of the platforms, but who's watching? Dispatch? Security? Would certainly add to the experience and part of the fun is the train spotting too 🙂
