darryl0768healy Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 In game I have noticed conversations between Sosnowiec Glowny dispatchers and 644### drivers about their departure time. The dispatch Timetable shows no wait for the freight trains but the drivers Timetable shows a wait. Can this be fixed as I've heard small arguments between players about this.
Skully Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 There is(/ can be) no argument between Sosnowiec Główny dispatcher and 6440## drivers as the schedule clearly shows a 17 minute layover. Usually the dispatchers don't want to hold player driven trains so they discuss given it a free pass. Sometimes I hold it until the 406 has passed. Alternatively you can hold onto bot trains until players show up. All is fair until the departure time is reached at which point the dispatcher should do its utmost to get the train out of there. 2
Bescot Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Probably when the dispatcher hasn't changed their timetable from the junction R52 to the station timetable! Still many people haven't realised the screen at SG shows two timetables. R52 TT will of course only show passing times across the junction at Sosn South. 2 2
TheFloxiCz Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 (edited) I'm sitting mostly only at Łazy Łc or Sosnowiec Glowny and to be honest, these pauses for cargo trains at Sosnowiec Glowny are really useless. As you can see, first train after 6440xx at Sosnowiec is EC 411xx and it's driving 14 minutes after him. Driving time between Sosnowiec Glowny and DG Zabkowice is somewhere around 10-15 minutes, so they won't met anywhere. From Zabkowice to Lazy and Zawiercie cargo trains using their own path (LK4, LK3), so it won't block nobody. I'm stopping these trains only once they have some delay, otherwise no. And to be more honest, AI dispatchers (bots) do everywhere the same thing. Edited January 10, 2023 by TheFloxiCz 1 1

Right that's where players are indeed going wrong!!! Good point made!! Even I didn't know that.

TheFloxiCz Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 4 minutes ago, darryl0768healy said: And then you're met with a wait at Bedzin I think... There is easily answer: 1) AI Dispatcher (bot) will sent this train automatically to the next station. AI Dispatchers won't stop cargo train. Now I'm sitting on Łazy Łc and what do you think? All cargo trains drives 20-30 minutes early, because all dispatchers are AI (bots). 2) Human dispatcher will ask you if you wanna wait. If you don't wanna wait, they will sent you to the next station without any waiting.
Fightdrug Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 a solution for this would be maybe the ZW3 button at the radio so the AI dispatch have the normal function to let you wait but when you press the ZW3 button he notice that as a okay he dont wanna wait signal ^^
SurvivorSean Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 The AI dispatchers DO NOT adhere to the timetable last I checked regarding freights. Because they don't have a platform they keep going through. Thanks Sean
giBBer8 Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 (edited) IRL it is up to the signaler and how close a faster service may be. Passenger trains always get priority of course. If a signaler deems an early running freight isn't the priority, then it goes "inside". Sitting a 30 minute early freight in a loop until departure time is correct, if it means less operational pain down the line. Follow the timetable, that's exactly what it's there for. The AI gets confused by players allowing freight services to run 30 to 60 minutes early. Edited January 11, 2023 by giBBer8 1

AI dispatchers getting consufed for something, which they do too? That's doesn't make sence. I'd like to remind you that there were major issues with cargo trains in first weeks after start of the playtests. AI dispatchers stopped cargo trains for break, but this leaded into completely blocked route, because they never let him continue after break. After these issues, AI trains are never stopped for a break anymore to prevent from this. 1
Skully Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Doesn't matter what players do, the AI should never get confused and just deal with the mess. 3
