1814 Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 I don't know if it's a bug or if it's really like that. The skies at night look like it's dawn, the shot was taken at 3:43 am.
SIMRAIL Team uetam Posted December 29, 2022 SIMRAIL Team Posted December 29, 2022 Hi, this has been already reported. Thank you.
Thistle Whistle Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 In the summer (which is when the server is set) sunrise is as early as 4:14am. Twilight starts about an hour before that, so this will be fairly accurate. 1
Bravura Lion Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 tbh it would be nice if the night would be a bit longer.
robert357 - W7 FTW Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 For longer nights we need wait for other seasons like autumn or winter.
Gazz292 Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 (edited) people need to look at the date they are driving the train on here, When i got on the playtests, the in sim date was the 22nd of June... that's the day after the summer equinox, aka the longest day in the year. i lived in Germany for about 8 years growing up, and the summers nights in SimRail are just how i remember them, light until gone 22:00 hours, darkness would last a very short time, by 03:00 it was beginning to get light again, twighlight seeming to last a very long time. And when its a cloudless sky, the summer moon lights things up almost like a weak daylight, I think SimRail have got the day - night cycle modeled very well.
