Krtek-JC
Hey, I had some good experience on when to let the Cruise Control make the Pesa Elf to stop. Unfortunately however I seem to have miscalculated or forgotten something and overshot the platform in the tutorial. So I reversed but couldn't get to have the passengers boarding. So it would be nice to be able to recover from overshooting the platform in the tutorial.
Gazz292
depends on what the rules say for the Polish railways, In some countries, if you overshoot more than 1 carriage, you carry on to the next station, then get a bollocking when you get back to the depot, reversing a loco hauled train along a platform is not usually something that's taken lightly. SIMRAIL Team GoppelPL Posted January 3, 2023 SIMRAIL Team Share Posted January 3, 2023 When you overshoot a W4 (head of the train stoping place) sign (even by 5cm!) you need to contact your company's dispatcher and the signaller. They call the line dispatcher and agree if they want to start an investigation or just acknowledge the driver's error. If reversing is needed the signaller has to order the driver to do so. The brake check and test braking are required too, and then the driver has to write a report or respond to a "Request for clarification" paper. Where I work the first time the driver overshoots he's "rewarded" with instructor driver's supervision for one day, if this happens again in a year he gets another supervision and no bonus for a month or two.
SIMRAIL Team Stele Posted January 3, 2023 SIMRAIL Team Share Posted January 3, 2023 In the game, you could reverse without issues if you didn't pass semaphore. Just move a bit in proper direction to set route scanning and pick up sign. At least that worked this way in the past. Maybe something got changed recently.
