Der_Jannik Posted April 2 Posted April 2 (edited) Hi everyone, I have a suggestion regarding the server time zones, specifically for the DE3 server. The Problem: Currently, many players can only play in the evening after work or school. DE1 is on UTC+2 and DE3 is on UTC-2. This is only a 4-hour difference. If I join at 23:30 (real time), it is 19:30 on DE3. So it also is already dark. While DE2 has a larger offset, it is missing the Katowice area. Since DE3 has all routes, we are mostly forced to drive or dispatch in the dark during our free time. The Proposal: Shift the time on DE3 by 12 hours compared to DE1: - 12-hour offset (UTC-10): 23:30 real time = 11:30 in-game. - (Alternatively: 10-hour offset (UTC-8): If it is 23:30 real time, it is 13:30 on the server.) Why I think this would be better: For Drivers: It gives players a real choice between a day or night shift at any time of the day. For Dispatchers (FDL): It is much easier to see the station and tracks during the day. This could also be a good setup for other servers too. (e.g. INT2) What do you think?
