A huge selling point for Simrail (apart from MP, signalling, great graphics and sounds.....etc 😁) is the Editor.

What are you hoping for regarding interface, functionality, features?

I personally haven't delved into route making before, although asset building is my bag. I hope Blender assets can be imported for routes, maybe an asset library can be built up (similar to TF2 mods) for creators to use? Collaboration will be key too of course, being able to access a projects "library" would be awesome (with permissions).

Just a few thoughts, what would you like to see?

Plug & Play blueprints for people that tried a lot to understand programming but weren't able to understand it. 🤣 I'm really scared about not being able to implement content without dying. 😶

Plug and play code is a good idea. There are some clever cookies out there who will have no issues in the Unity engine.

Unlimited possibilities? Ability to add things through code? That way literally the sky is the limit. I mean, don't get me wrong, but a good GUI, and general ease of use would be a good thing, but you can always learn an editor, even if it's wonky. If they don't allow us to use custom classes than we will be severely limited as to what we can implement into the game.

repos like these for Lua, so the basics (creating scenarios?) are achievable almost for everyone, like in DCS for example ("moose") ❤️

The ability to extract data from the trains / sim,
So people who know programming (not me, i'm into the mechanical side of things)  can use them to put data like speed, destination, position etc on tablets / 2nd monitors, and we can have a more immersive experience with a train cab like setup,

From as simple as a phone and an android tablet mounted on the computer desk next to the main monitor, displaying the trains 'dashboard' data,
Below is railworks / train sim classic, and TS-MFD is extracting the data and displaying it on the tablets as a MFD on the left that mimics the in train left hand screen, and a working live updating EBuLa on the right hand tablet :

To full blown replica driving cabs that you would find at a train drivers training facility, or transport museum.

DCS does that very well with their track files.

To my basic mind, it's a "save" of your actions in the play session, how every asset reacted to your movements, and of course, how you flew. The TRK file can also be loaded by the devs to see exactly what the reporters' issue was, to the second.
