ETCS Level 1 tutorial instantly fails

For quite a while now (even before most recent update), I've had an issue whenever I tried to go into the ETCS Level 1 (Level 2 has the same issue for me) tutorial. Regardless of what I do or don't do upfront, the second I sit down in the driver seat, the tutorial always instantly fails me, I am assuming this is a bug (if I am genuinely doing something wrong, it'd be great to know :)). Here is an example video of when it happens. I tried without touching battery, with sitting before activating cabin, etc.. I can even fully start the train and start driving, but anytime I sit down, the scenario instantly fails (I also don't get the next bit of script/explanation of what to do).

Do you have globally disabled ETCS in game settings? Enable it 😉

Oh I do have ETCS disabled yes - if this is the problem, maybe the game should force enable it *within* the ETCS tutorials, or at least notify the player that that is the reason that they failed.
