  1. As Apple has announced their release of Apple Vision next year with native support of Unity Apps, I became curious on whether SimRail could run on it. Clearly the choice on using Unity could pay off in creating an immersive experience. Picture yourself looking at your surroundings as you are in a cabin of a Kibel or Pendolino where you could grab the controls and make the train go. Of course that thing is darn expensive but if you can afford it, this could be a literal game changer. Seeing as passenger mode is going to happen at some point this game could be nothing less than a place where you could spend time in a way that even VR Chat probably couldn't give to you.

  2. I just wonder whether this is the way it is handled in real life.
  3. I just tried it out on a Pendolino and it turns out - you are right! I already tried to put the lever all the way down and up again but apparently it takes a bit more force to really have it on the lowest level. You only know whether you have put it down properly if it is actually really down as there is no indication on how much it is down. You can't feel it yourself after all.
  4. I wanted to have the wonderful experience of taking control on EIP 1337 from Warszawa Wschodnia in the direction of Kraków. However at Warszawa Centralna the accelerator decided to not work. I did a full reset on the cab to no avail. After giving controls to the bot it suddenly decides to accelerate. AFter leaving and rejoining I could even proceed on my own... ...well that is until I had to apply the break pressure at some point. Guess what happened then. Exactly! It didn't want to accelerate again! I have controlled the Pendolino the exact same way before and it worked without a problem. Now however it just doesn't want to work out of reasons that are beyond my comprehension. Did I do something wrong or is there a weird bug going on? Also the labeling on the state of the break may be confusing. It is very sloppy when showing the current state e.g. you can put it to "Fill" position and it won't say "Fill" but something else. It frustrates me on how I got the perfect opportunity to take the best train nummer there is and explore the section from Psary to Tunel only to figure out it doesn't want to work anymore the way it used to work flawlessly before.
  5. Yesterday I discovered that the section between Kozlów and Psary already got its scenery. Thus I wonder whether we micht be able to have the tracks from Kozlów to Kraków and from Katowice to Kraków. The prospect of having the complete ride from Warszawa to Kraków would definitely be wonderful. Furthermore, it only has been a few years since the section from Katowice to Kraków has been renovated in real life as you could only go with 50 km/h (!) between both cities before. Rumors had it that it was corruptly done on purpose to promote the Motorway back then
  6. Greetings. Today I had to wait 10 minutes at the section before the station Opoczno Poludnie because the AI decided to let another train of the opposite direction that was several minutes early to the only platform of the station causing me to have to wait until that train could depart. Please implement the AI as such as the early train would wait until the train that is supposed to go there before has made its stop there. Would be nice since now I have to somehow get rid of the 10 minutes of delay.
  7. I have taken the scenarios for the passenger trains in both ways and noticed a couple of flaws: 1. The Gniewiecin waypoint is faulty causing you to always loose points as it doesn't appear to be properly put on the route as there is no distance indicator provided to this waypoint anyway 2. You successfully implemented the peculiar situation in real life where on a part of the route one track can be used with 100 km/h but the parallel track southbound is restricted for something around 40-60 km/h. I believe that the schedule for the regional train is also correct on the Sedziszow to Katowice scenario, however it seems as if you forgot to put the train on the left, faster, track on that particular part on that scenario causing the driver to be unable to finish the scenario according to the schedule as the routing over the slow track produces delays of up to 7 minutes 3. At Bukowno at first I had to wait several minutes for the green signal. Only as I decided to try overrunning the red signal it suddenly turns green. There may be an issue over there? Finally I am pretty certain that the signage on changing the radio frequency to channel 4 is somewhat misplaced, causing me to loose points due to alleged failure of setting the right frequency. Maybe it is my fault but I believe it may have to be looked over again.
  8. Hoi, I shall suggest something that really would add a new depth in realism. As I observed in Austria, the driver has a tablet on his cab where the schedule is being displayed. Over there there are supposed to be the scheduled speeds, waypoints etc. Back then on Pro Train Perfect, they actually did those schedules as I described (although the DB seems to have a built in EBuLa device to display schedules) so you has to pay attention to the hectometer signs along the route e.g. for calculating the distance to the next waypoint. It was a really nice and realistic way of monitoring your position and I would love to have those schedules as a pdf so I could display them on my Tablet or Laptop monitor.
  9. If a game where you can drive a Pendolino on the entire route from Katowice to Warszawa which is like 300km or something isn‘t worth your money then so be it. In my opinion that alone is already more than worth it. I just have to reserve some time for it then. The cool thing is that unlike TSC I can use my other screen freely while the game runs on one screen.
  10. Absolutely agree, how am I supposed to play 3 hours and more without interruption if I have a tight schedule and still want to fit in some nice gameplay for relief?
  11. Today I finally got to take a freight train with Traxx Locomotive on MultiPlayer. This was a quite wonderful experience to me as I had some somehow soothing stop and go experience plus the Cruise Control just makes it really relaxing and enjoyable. Anyways, due to the routing I usually got routed through the freight tracks which kinda makes sense, however somehow it made me "miss" all foreseen stops. For instance I have been routed through Zawiercie GT, which doesn't appear to be actually represented with a waypoint (or it just didn't work on my trip). Either way it was not the first time that I got penalty for missing stops on a freight train despite the fact that waypoints for freight trains are no mandatory stops whatsoever. Depends on when the dispatcher feels like sending you so I wonder why they even included those penalties for waypoints that are no stops. Furthermore why do you get a penalty as a train driver if you literally have barely any influence on your routing as mostly I got routed by AI which still made the game confused. In the end, I got through anyways, so it was only about the penalties whatsoever.
  12. Also once the buildings turned red. Kinda weird
  13. The only time I saw the displays actually showing something before this game was on Pro Train Perfect. However these are tailor made to only fit on the train at that time, whereas in Multiplayer of Simrail it is something entirely different to have the displays fitting. Also as I was dispatching I was once again just marvelling on how the trains that I put through actually get across outside - including those played by people outside. Even more funny: at some point I had a longer time waiting for the signal to go so I could meet the dispatcher in the signal box personally XD
  14. As it is supposed to be a tutorial, the player should be able to rely on some guidance. Now in my first run I got to figure out that I was supposed to contact dispatcher at the red signal 1,5 km before Sosnowiec. Unfortunately this time I do the exact same thing but there is no interaction whatsoever so I get a red signal and the tutorial does not provide me with any help. I have therefore no idea whether that is an intended situation or if there is another bug having appeared.
