Problems with some players on Server FR1
Dignité replied to Lulu's topic in General Discussion [Multiplayer]
In this particular situation I see nothing childish ? Maybe an error of judgment from dispatcher and even on that part I’m not sure. I can understand that child behavior can piss off some people, but on that situation, there’s nothing childish and it must not be a reason for a ban if there’s nothing to comment here on this specific situation (that caused a ban) -

And even so, for 9 minutes maximum of delay on the entire pendolino journey , how can someone be banned for this? -

He arrived on time with the pendo at Wloszczowa so, it's not that much of an issue, the big part of the delay is AFTER Wloszczowa. Lulu is telling that he was at Opoczno, so his action is not even the reason of the delay.. -

Dispatcher 101 : If a train is late, its priority is lower than any train on time, so in fact, he was in his right.. Espacially when it's two passenger trains. So If I understood well, Lulu was in his right during this event, so the ban shouldn't be here, and it's clearly an abusive report 🤷♂️ -
@CEMO @Fatality You seem to be confused by my message but I am actually intrigued to know the part that is confusing you from your player perspective 😉

I don't actually understand the downvotes. Let me explain myself : Private servers will allow people to have control on what is happening. It requires some development it's a fact, but at the end, it's just making every player happy ! If someone wants to have an arcade server, then someone has already done it or you can do it as you please ! If you want something more serious to gather around strong roleplay and have fun, you can. The problem right now is that on official servers, people have different needs or way to play. On the (only) french server we have, it has been an issue with some events popping sometimes or tensions between communities (for bad or good reasons that's not the point). Having private servers give multiples good aspects : - Possibilities to have more control on the game (weather, time, timetables, maybe even actual visual or implemented events !) - Giving every community the possibility to play the way they want - Having maybe one or two fat servers to deal with API if you can't make them work in an other way but 2 servers for data is cheaper than running 34 public servers Actually, this is a solution to most problems of players during multiplayer, dealing with toxic behavior, create event that makes sense for some et caetera. With all this, I can't even figure out how can someone that play Simrail can be against having private servers... I don't think this will scatter the whole Simrail community in teeny tiny groups, I do think that it will allow Simrail to grow even more and make some people buy the game to play the way they want without having to deal with toxic comments or having people sabotaging their way to play. And even more if the SDK comes out, it will be a must-have to keep the game attractive. If you can't play with your friends on the content you want, what's the point of this game ? And if the SDK isn't coming, well, that's an other (big) problem but it's not the subject here 😉
-
That's a truly sad news... But I do have a question in mind, if you're not going in that way, how do you plan to make multiplayer possible with custom maps or trains made with the SDK ? That's kinda essential.

Thank's feels good to know it's a shared feeling

And you're only waiting 2 minutes before saying "it's all good I'm ready for depature !!" 🤣

Multipal points here : - Game is not finished and yet we're bored of the behaviour of toxic players doing fake RP (Yeah there's smoke coming out of the train) and he's blocking 2 tracks and blocking everyone, yes it's awfully annoying, train drivers abusing radios sometimes. - Roleplay can be okay sometimes, I can understand that, but forcing everyone playing your game is not a manner to do things. Stoping EVERY TRAIN IN A ZONE because of an "electrical failure" while someone is just trying to relax by having fun (My case). I was so annoyed that I didn't launched Simrail for like 2 or 3 weeks, just because of this awful behaviour. Ban abusive behaviours is the rightfull choice, doing some things in a roleplay manner with the people concerned okay with it.

It's obvious tho, if everyone can't stand what they're doing and are being tired of playing Simrail because of some cancer "Fake RP" behaviour, I can understand why those people are the most actives, because they're the only ones "enjoying" those little cringe games

It kinda links with the topic I made during playtest : I think that it could definitely be a great thing to implement !

I kinda disagree. Adding a "On foot" start at a depot to take your train or being a foot agent at a dispatcher post to help trains setting up, ok. But being a "passenger" is kinda pointless in my opinion, it's even a waste of devs time for me, there's so much to do before even thinking of a passenger mod. But, adding more "on foot" gameplay why not, as long as it stays in the train operator logic. Take your service in depot on foot before going to your train or helping train conductors going to their trains, do the coupling, brake tests etc is a good example

Right now, you're choosing a service when choosing a train. But, as we know in the real train world, you're affected to a service, a "day" or shift. So, what would be great is to manage the game not speaking with "trains" but with depots. What could it add : - Getting locomotive out of "sleep" on a storage track (even in depot?), manoever it toward the train and drive it, then leave the loco if the train goes further or, manoever the loco to get it on the other train. - Having shunting shifts, getting the passengers and freight cars ready and on platforms to get trains ready. - IA taking over is still logical and will not break anything. - Players will not be stuck in a service, at the end of the travel, they are not "kicked out" of the game, they're still in game as person and wait for their next train. And there's a lot of possibilities by doing this ! If you have other ideas in relation with this proposition, please say it, can't wait to debate about it and hear more of your thougts about it !
