  1. Dear Community, Am I right assuming that the reason why the level crossings at Sławków are not controllable from the dispatch panel, is, that in reality, the two level crossings are manually operated by two flagmen working at the two guard posts next to the crossings? If so, how do they know when to close the crossing? I assume if they were to close the level crossing as soon as they get a phone call from the neighboring dispatcher, the crossings would remain closed much too long. Thank you!
  2. Dear SimRail Team, I find it amazing that you have added paper timetables to the cabs in the newest update, which you can open by clicking on the timetable holder in the cab. However, the timetables open on the center of the screen (see attached screenshot), making them seemingly impossible to use while driving. Is it (going to be) possible to either open them on a second monitor or print them? Many thanks!
  3. Oh, I see, so the function "Confirm arrival time" basically sets the actual arrival time to the current timestamp. I think I have been misled by the naming. For me, "<<confirm>> arrival time" means "confirm that the train arrived at the expected time". Perhaps a better translation would be "Register train arrival". Thanks for the clarification!
  4. This only works if the train is on time. How can I do the same if the train is early or late?
  5. Dear Community, Is it possible to enter only the arrival time of a train into the new EDR, but leave the departure time empty, in case a train is still at the platform? I find myself having to take notes of the arrival times, so that I can enter them along with the departure time when a train leaves. Thank you!
  6. I would love to have a free Rome camera, too! Something like this: (Sorry, I couldn't miss that 😄 )
  7. Dear Community, I've noticed some players lately with avatars that might be considered inappropriate or even offensive, e.g. I remember having seen avatars depicting Josip Stalin and Wladimir Putin. I think we should agree that politics, any reference to extremist groups, nudity, violence, etc. should strictly be kept out of the context of the simulator, even if Steam's avatar policies are not strict enough or just not enforced strictly enough in such matters.
  8. I know there is already a newer thread about upcoming signal boxes and that we already have information about which one will come next (it absolutely makes sense traffic-wise). However, have you noticed that today's patch has the screenshot of the lovely Stawiska signal box building?... https://www.facebook.com/100063665406337/posts/621192026679639/?flite=scwspnss Albeit with curtains on the windows, as of now. But maybe it will come sooner than expected? 🙂
  9. I have just been dispatching at Dabrowa Górnicza Wschodnia on the EN8 server (22 Jan 2023, timestamp on the screenshot). The neighboring AI dispatcher of Dabrowa Górnicza Strzemieszyce repeatedly kept asking for permission for two trains (42196, 421066) to enter the block (one after the other in a loop, always cancelling the previously announced one, see screenshot.). After a while, he kept asking for 42196 only, always cancelling it between announcements. After a few minutes, this loop behavior came to a standstill. When I answered him (giving the permission to 42196, as that was the last one announced), nothing happened, neither of the trains started in my direction. SimRail_log_2023-01-22_14-12-43.txt
  10. As far as I have seen, these mechanical signal boxes usually have a printed schematic map of the station somewhere in the building, like in this picture.
  11. I think the reason is that shunting operations, and the procedure to change the train number of a train in the interlocking system (when it changes direction and becomes a new service), are not implemented yet.
  12. Hmm, what about Stawiska? 😊 ... At least that's my guess based on the route labels on this screenshot
  13. It would be great to have realistic printed or electronic timetables for every train (German: Buchfahrplan), the kind that drivers use in the real life, in order to be able to drive realistically without HUD. Like the one you have on the driver's panel on the attached picture.
