  1. I tried a couple of versions of this new savegame feature today. (log extract attached as file for my latest failed load of savegame Zastow) I can't reach that git-ticket made for this problem, but I guess this thread could still help to pinpoint the problem. To begin with, this doesn't seem to be even a BETA functionality, rather it feels like it is still in ALPHA: When I use savegames in the official build from 22nd of jan-26, the button says "Alpha V5" so in this thread I think all should refer to which alpha they are trying to load a game with When savegame working: Only luck I had using savegame (so far) is when train is stationary, and there is more than 1min to departure. No passengers trying to get on and off. Calm state. But this is not 100%. So there is still some other variable here making it not work. When savegame not working: Some variables that probably have an impact Train is waiting for signal here you could even get an error saying that you can't save while route is being set -> makes sense, and better to stop a save that will brake than even try and in later versions you could of course try to make it work.. etc... Lot of passengers on platform During load I see that (as always) the clock is showing 12:00 when first load (or last clock if from last point in simulation) Then after 5 load messages, and "VD ready", the time changes to saved time and all people (on the platform) seem to become exchanged to new ones which have clothes adapted to the saved weather season which also move about 4 times faster than normal after 5 seconds of massive movement of all poeple you get the an route error In summary it currently looks maybe the saved games would work if the timeout was longer for loading the people into the simulation. In general all loading (even in multiplayer) take a long time, up to 1min. My (linux) system almost get unresponsive for several seconds... which shows that loading a scenario in "mid air" is a very complicated operation! So my suggestion is that savegames should load into a "paused state" for a much longer time. Maybe even force the player saying "press button" (like in multiplayer) to continue. 2. I just played a train from timetable called "TDE 412042", and I just loved the experience. The challenge of handling quick changes of speed (for example to 20km/h crossings) in SHP, then switching through two ETCS modes around Sprowa, then getting caught by faster trains after Psary. At this point I was checking the timetable, and asking myself "what is next?"... and saw that this train ACTUALLY has a end stop at Lódz! But no! The track is not built yet! At Idzikowice the mission ends, and that made me "sad" 😉 So I started checking the map more closely and got surpriced: There are "only" about 7-8 stations needed to reach Mikolajow, and then Zakowice Poludnowe. My suggestion is simply: How about connecting Idzikowice with the Lodz-DLC lines? Either as a "mini-DLC", or maybe a longer version all the way to Radom (making it a full DLC for Radom) Personally I like having a "mesh" of lines, rather than long stretches, which this suggestion gives in the "north". But in this case Tomaszow seem to look like a fun challenge in itself, with some "tight turns" and a "city to pass" Also not sure how big of a development team this is, but I would gladly sponsor some extra money to make it happen. (or to make an editor happen, which seem not ready yet)

  3. Thanks Shiralyn for checking that Steam API, and what is actually stored there. For developers: I know it would be very cumbersome to add "all stations" to the Steam stats. But here is an idea: What if you create a long string for each DLC (maybe 128 char string), where all the stations included are represented by "the position" in the string? example with 10char string: 0000000001 -> first station "has enough" dispatching time 0100001001 -> first, 4th and 9th stations "has enough" dispatching time. which in theory would still mean you can "loose" minutes on a station, if having 119minutes on each station but the upside is that with this long number you can synchronize which stations that are "done" and only expanding the Steam API data with one more attribute It takes some time to "forget" that you lost all those 80hours, but slowly starting to get back the "fun" in playing. Doing my favorite stations first. Even if I would to make all those 40 stations again, it is not sure that I will get the badge anyway, because the data being de-synchronized.
  4. Just found a similar post, that shows another "user case" where this synchronization of progress is needed: Or in other words: This other post kind of answers my question. But still: Is this non-synchronization problem a bug, or just a usercase not coded yet? Just imagine a scenario where a player have run trains for 39.000 million km, and then needs to re-install the game. Even for a player that is not playing for Achievements, that would be sad. (considering all that statistics going to Simrail servers)
  5. I just realized that my Achievement progress stopped after re-installing the game. I have run SimRail for a while, and was almost done with my "Senior dispatcher achievement": But then I had a problem that forced me to re-install Steam. Because I saw that my "player statistics" was trickling in on simrail.pl, I did not even consider to backup anything of the >70GB old installation. I started playing on my new Steam install, and spent 2 hours as a dispatcher on a station, and the "progress popup" came as expected. And thought: "It works". But it didn't work. When looking more closely the popup says "33/40" for every new station I spend 2hours on. When pressing F8, the debug information shows that ALL of the old statistics is gone. It (of course) shows the new statistics after the re-install, but nothing more. Although Steam shows the "last known" statistics, which is 33/40 stations done. I have now done my 2hours on 40 stations, but unless this gets "synked", I will with the current state not get the above achievement, unless I dispatch another 37 stations AGAIN. 🤦‍♀️ Is there a way to synchronize the online statistics (shown on simrail.pl) with my Steam install? Technical details: Operating system: Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon Steam: First install of Steam was a community based "Flathub install" I uninstalled Removed the leftovers from the Flathub Steam install Installed the official debian version of Steam SimRail: On both versions of Steam (on linux) the install is not a problem On both versions the performance and functionality is identical On both versions the applications data is stored in a "proton simulated windows" The Achievements file seem to have the same virtual path (related to the Steam install) : ../home/david/.steam/root/steamapps/compatdata/1422130/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/SimKol/SimRail/Achievements_76561197997787182.bin ...and if I would to guess, it is this bin file that needs to be synched ...where the application at re-install literally "downloads all stats" of the known multiplayer statistics from the SimRail api:s
